About

mzkai.link is an abbreviation for "mizikai link." In Japanese, "Mizikai" (ηŸγ„) translates to "short," so the name signifies "short link." Furthermore, its domain price was quite affordable, which led me to choose it as the name for my project.

I work as a software engineer, and one of my hobbies is developing mobile applications. Based on my personal experience, I found it slightly cumbersome to share two separate links for the Google Play Store and the Apple App Store. To address this issue, I created a simple website that detects the user's platform and automatically redirects them to the appropriate app store.

Eventually, I realized that creating a new website for each app I developed was becoming a somewhat tedious task. That's when I decided to initiate this project. While I initially developed this website for the purpose of app store redirection, this project can be adapted for other use cases as well.

Most web browsers transmit platform-related data in their HTTP request headers. This project leverages information extracted from the User-Agent header to identify the user's device, subsequently redirecting them to the appropriate URL based on their device type.
